SEASIDE — The redemption tour continues for CSU Monterey Bay as it erupted for five runs in the fifth inning Friday to defeat Cal Poly, Pomona 8-2 in the NCAA Division II West Regionals. The top seeded Otters (38-19) will have two chances to clinch the West Regional title and advance to the Super Regionals, as Pomona will have to beat them twice on Saturday at CSUMB. The two conference rivals will meet at noon. CSUMB was in a similar situation last year, only to drop a pair of games to host Azusa Pacific.
